Finishing the 8.3 Reputations

I got this bad boy yesterday:

(Which is also another reminder that I need to find a new add-on to screenshot capture achievements!)

I'm at about 95% towards Uldum Accord so I should be able to finish knocking that after reset today.

After that, I'm not sure what's going to be left for me in WoW until the pre-patch hits.  I may finish working on the pet battle achievements that I still need to finish and I could theoretically start leveling one of my two remaining allied race toons, but given that I only have a few character slots left on my account, I would prefer to save those to try out the streamlined leveling process in Shadowlands.  If that ends up being something that starts when the pre-patch hits, it might be off to the leveling races with those two allied races toons (Vulpera and Mechagnome).

I do also have a handful of professions to finish, with Inscription and Engineering being the farthest to go.  So that might make sense as something to work on as well.  Not sure what value working on those adds, but it's something to do.

Not much to add beyond that.  Looking forward to pre-patch and expansion release at this point so we can get going with new content.

Cheers,

Joar

It Wasn't A Very Long Break

As often as I may try to take a break from Warcraft, I find it generally draws me back in.  Whether there is any compelling reason for it to do so or not.

So I'm back to playing a little bit.  Mostly I wanted to try to get a few more characters in a position to run horrific visions just to see how I find those on classes other than warlock.  Hunter was the first attempt, which felt really good, and I'm likely going to try demon hunter next.

I'm continuing to resist the urge to level another character wanting to save those last few slots on my account for the streamlined leveling process that Shadowlands promises.

The ability to purchase corruptions is also intriguing while I'm working through horrific visions, so I'm starting to watch the cycles for those as well.

Finally, I may pick up the pet battle achievements where I had left them off.

Cheers,

Joar

Taking a Little Break

I've been taking a bit of a break for a couple of weeks.  Running emissaries and the various Vale and Uldum stuff every was starting to lose it's charm, so I've switched over to playing SWTOR a bit.  My kids decided to pick it up, so that was no small part of the motivation there (although SWTOR still isn't the greatest for just general questing in groups).

However, this week is a double rep bonus, with the overall rep bonus still in effect and the weekly world quest rep bonus up this week, so I may go back to doing emissaries this week on my various key toons just to get the extra rep and probably a few extra paragon chests, and all the gold that goes with all of that.

With still no news about the timing of Shadowlands release, and a double xp bonus in effect for SWTOR, finishing all the various class stories there and getting my main character up to the new max level is suddenly a bit more interesting than grinding things out in Warcraft for no reason.  There is at least a ton of new (to me) content there to experience.

I've been saying this for a long time now, but the devs at Warcraft still need to figure out a way to keep some form of new content coming during the now very typical and very long drought between the release of the final raid of an xpac and the go-live of the new xpac.

WoW Forever: I Was There The First Time

At some point, keeping track of the different versions of World of Warcraft starts to feel like a game of its own. There is the current game...
