Blaugust 2025: Swimming Junior Nationals

I've just returned from a two-week break, which included Swimming Junior Nationals, a week's vacation in Newport Beach, California, and a quick 1,600-mile drive to and from Boston, Massachusetts, to pick up the middle Joarling from his internship there.  I've had essentially no game-play time since my initial Blaugust post on August 1st.

Junior Nationals went extremely well this time around.  The youngest Joarling had six total events in which he was competing.  He made finals in four of them and earned a silver medal in the 50 Breast and a bronze medal in the 50 Free.  While the Olympics are still 3 years away, his time in the 50 Free would have qualified him for the US Olympic Trials in 2024.

My son is the one in the middle.  Not sure what was with the weird smile.

We followed that up with a week in Newport Beach, where we enjoyed relaxing at the beach and exploring the area's great restaurants.  We rented a boat for a few hours one day and saw a ton of dolphins, which was really fun and exciting.

We took a red-eye flight back to Ohio, and then I turned around a day later and drove to Boston to pick up the middle Joarling, get him out of his apartment, and get him home for the one week before he starts back to University for his Senior Year.

So that brings us to where I am now, back to work and completely exhausted.

I won't get any actual gameplay time until Friday, at which point I'll likely be focused on trying out the new World of Warcraft content.  But I will try to get back to posting regularly between now and then to make up for lost time!

Cheers,

Joar
