OK. With that out of the way, I spent a good chunk of today working through stuff for the new content. So I've done no alt leveling. We'll probably need to resume that in another week or two once I'm good with doing the normal cycle of farming Renown on the K'aresh stuff.
So here is what I got done today. I got basically current on the Story Campaign stuff, other than some weird stuff that I'm still working through back at the Oasis with Ve'nari. I can't quite figure out how Ve'nari here relates to Ve'nari in Shadowlands, but if I think about it too much, it'll make my head hurt, and no one wants that.
I've also been doing a bunch of the side quests for the additional renown rewards. They're the normal side quest level of cute, but nothing that tugs at the heartstrings too badly so far. Finally, I also did the new delve, which I thought was really fun. I was hoping we'd get someone other than Brann this time around, so I was a little disappointed.
The warlock is feeling really good, so if they changed anything, I'm not noticing it. The story was decent. I'm sure some folks found some of the twists and turns entertaining. I'm not sure what I think about the whole major tension / potential betrayal vibe going on with this stuff, but I've never been a big fan of the characters involved, so I don't care a ton. That's probably not what Blizzard was going for, but oh well.
Finally, I did the first LFR wing of the new raid. Didn't get anything from it, but the new bosses were pretty cool. You definitely need to watch some videos to learn the mechanics for at least the 2nd fight. Don't watch the transition to phase 2 on the second boss too closely if you're feeling at all queasy. Pretty gross. But I'm looking forward to the next couple of wings as well.
